Local Policing Plan

Summary

This plan sets out the priorities for policing in the Dyfed-Powys area for the next three years. It has been developed by your police and Police Authority following consultation with the public and all our partners to find out what the issues are that really matter to you.

This three-year Policing Plan sets out the main priorities for the service taking account of local needs, public views, recent performance, how we use our resources and the regional/ national policing agenda. In defining our priorities for 2011-2014, we have considered the views and needs of our communities based on community feedback and consultation results, the priorities of our partners, how we contribute to partnership working and the national coalition priorities set out in the Home Office Business Plan 2011-2015. We also reviewed our internal systems to analyse trends in terms of crimes and incidents identifying those areas of policing that present the greatest threat, harm and risk to our communities.

Performance against the measures set out within the plan are reviewed each quarter by the Police Authority’s Planning, Performance and Scrutiny Committee. Click here to access the agenda, minutes and reports of that Committee.
