Are you a resident of Dyfed Powys? Do you have strong views about the services you receive from the Police Authority, Police, Council or Health Service? Do you want to share those views? The Citizens’ Panels give members of the public the opportunity to do just that.
There are currently three Citizens’ Panels established in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire respectively. Dyfed-Powys Police and Police Authority also link in with Powys Council’s Citizens’ Panel on an annual basis.
The Panels represent groups of residents who have agreed to offer their views and opinions. Panel members are asked to take part in 3 online or postal surveys a year on the services delivered by the Panel partners in each county. In Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire, the Panels’ partners include the Police (including the Police Authority), the Council and Hywel Dda Health Board. Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority is also a partner of the Pembrokeshire Citizens’ Panel.
The Panels’ aim is to find out what local people think about their services. Each partner contributes towards the overall cost, making the Panels a cost effective and efficient way of hearing residents’ views and opinions.
