You Pay, You Say
Dyfed Powys Police Authority is once again giving people the chance to shape the future of policing in their area.
The Community Consultative Meetings, which will be attended by local Police Officers and Police Authority Members, will be held throughout the Force area in November and December.
The meetings give residents the opportunity to hear about developments in policing in their area and how the Police is delivering initiatives such as the Policing Pledge, which is our commitment to a minimum standard of policing in the area. There will also be an opportunity for the Police to report back how the perpetrators of local crimes have been brought to justice. The meetings give residents the opportunity to speak to the Police Authority about their concerns, what the priorities for the policing should be and how the police budget should be spent in 2010/11.
Delyth Humfryes, the Chair of the Police Authority said:
“The Police Authority is the body which holds the Police to account on behalf of our communities. We must ensure that you have an effective and efficient Police service that meets the needs of our communities.
“In order to represent our communities we need to know what you think. We have arranged meetings in each Police division and urge that people attend to give us their views on how Dyfed-Powys Police should operate in the future.”
All meetings start at 7pm and details are as follows:
- Thursday 19th November, Murray Suite, Town Hall, Hamilton Terrace, Milford Haven, Pembrokeshire, SA73 3JW.
