About Freedom of Information
From the 1st of January 2005, you have the ability, on request, to be informed whether the Police Authority holds information on any matter or subject. If the authority does hold the requested information it has a duty to disclose it to you.
Subject to certain exemptions that are set out within the Freedom of Information Act 2000, the Authority, as a general rule, should comply with the above within twenty working days.
The authority has adopted a publication scheme (PDF, 147 kB) setting out information which it publishes or intends to publish. If you are seeking information, you are invited to consider the scheme to see if it can be used to provide information you are looking for. Details as to how information held within the scheme may be obtained are also set out within the scheme.
For more details of the freedom of information scheme please read our Freedom of Information Publication Scheme. Information on previous Freedom of Information requests and responses (PDF, 47 kB)
Request for information not held within the scheme may be made to:
Mr. K.B. ReevesClerk to the Dyfed-Powys Police Authority
P.O. Box 99
Llangunnor
Carmarthen
SA31 2PF
Fax: 01267 226448
E-Mail: police.authority@dyfed-powys.pnn.police.uk
If you need assistance or advice about how to make request, please contact the Police Authority Secretariat on Tel: 01267 226440
Any requests made should be in writing, which may include fax or e-mail.
The authority hopes that it deals with requests for information in an appropriate manner. However, should you have any cause for complaint, you should write to the Clerk to the Authority.
If a complaint can not be resolved at this stage, it will be reported to the Authority for consideration.
