How We Consult
- Publication of the Annual Report and the publication of the Annual Policing Plan, Best Value Performance Plan and Efficiency Plan.
- Annual consultation with Town and Community Councils to ascertain their views on local policing priorities.
- The Authority also holds public consultation meetings in the 9 former district council areas throughout the Force to give members of the public the opportunity to express their views about policing in their area. Members of the Authority and local senior police officers attend the meetings to answer questions.
- Consultation is undertaken with victims of crime, victims of racist incident, and persons reporting incidents of anti-social behaviour in line with Home Office Guidance.
- Citizens' Panels have now been established in all counties within Dyfed Powys. See the citizens' panels pages on the force website for Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and Powys.
- Consultation is also undertaken on a Force wide basis through “Virtual Focus Groups” where questionnaires will be sent to a Panel of volunteers asking people their views on pertinent current issues. If you are interest in joining the VFGs email the coordinator
- Every year (usually during the summer months) shopping establishments are attended and communities are invited to complete a questionnaire centred around issues pertinent to both the Force and the Authority including priority setting and satisfaction with service levels.
The Authority also welcomes your input in relation to priority setting - please complete our online questionnaire.
